introduction
- army stew is one of popular hot pots in korea
- wanna twist the original version with its war time background story to the opposite - a luxurious version ie adding seafood and beef
main ingredients
- beef
- frozen prawns
- frozen oyster
- scallop
- sausages
- luncheon meat
- green onion
- onion
- enoki mushroom
- chestnut mushroom
- tofu
- kimchi
sauce ingredients (base on 4 servings)
- 1 litre chicken stock (replaced by water coz literally i dun eat chicken and its by products)
- 2 tablespoon korean chili flakes (i use hot spicy powder inside the very spicy instant noodle)
- 2 tablespoon rice wine (i use mirin)
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1/2 tablespoon korean chili paste
- 1/2 tablespoon sugar (i skip this coz my korean chili paste already includes sugar)
- sprinkle of ground black pepper
steps
1. defrost all frozen items
2. mix all sauce ingredients
3. cut all ingredients
4. put in a pan (i use instant pot this time)...............except beef, seafood and green onion
6. select pressure cook function............... 'soup' mode...............high pressure for 3 mins
7. then add the remaining ingredients...........keep 'soup' mode but in low pressure (put the glass lid instead of the sealed lid)
8. done
taste
-because of seafood, adding oceanic flavor into soup base
-it turns out to be more 'hongkong' style hot pot rather than korean.............hahaha
areas of improvement
-add more spicy powder to bring up the heat
-have to add korean instant noodle in order make it feels korean style hot pot
