take 4 - oven baked butter scallop

introduction
- it is an easy to cook dish
- but scallop of top premium quality is a MUST (mine is japanese scallop of sashimi grade ie can eat it raw after defrost)

main ingredients
- scallop
- salt
- butter

steps
1. defrost scallop (coz mine is frozen stuff)...........the correct way of defrosting frozen seafood is to take to room temperature and quickly wash by water............then leave it on a drainer so that water drips out without soaking the seafood

2. use kitchen paper to absorb extra water content

3. preheat oven at 200°c

4. season scallop with little pinch of salt............top by tiny butter

5. put in mid level............switch to top/bottom heating mode for 5 mins

6. switch off.............use remaining butter on foil to cook scallop for 1 min in the oven

7. done


taste
-coz to stand out scallop's original good flavor...........therefore better to keep seasoning very basic and simple (tried adding chopped garlic and garlic taste came out too overwhelming and dominant)
-scallop has its natural sweet (coz of its good quality)
-no over cooked, still juicy inside


areas of improvement
-quite satisfied with this attempt
-can add tiny bit more butter
-shorten cooking time by taking out last 1 min in oven...........so scallop will be more tender, closer to just cook
