take 3 - korean rolled omelette (gyeran mari)

introduction
- one of popular side homemade dishes in korea
- very easy to prepare

main ingredients (1 person serving)
- 2 x eggs
- bit of onion (optional)
- bit of carrots (optional, give color to the dish)
- 1 stalk x green onion
- pinch of salt

dipping sauce ingredients (optional)
- 1/2 tablespoon korean chili paste
- 1/2 tablespoon miso
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon water


steps
1. finely chop onion, carrots and green onion

2. beat eggs with a pinch of salt

3. add onion, carrots and green onion

4. mix well

5. mix dipping sauce

6. pour dipping sauce into saucepan

7. simmer it in low heat till seeing bubbles

8. set aside for later use

9. apply thin layer of oil on the pan with the help of kitchen towel/ brush

10. pour a portion of mixed egg batter into pan................spread it across whole pan in thin layer

11. turn to medium - low heat

12. when it is almost cooked...........start rolling up egg sheet...........leaving some length

13. apply thin layer of oil again...........pour another portion of mixed egg batter so it connects with the roll

14. when it is almost cooked.............repeat the roll up steps and add mixed egg batter............until used up all egg batter

15. heat the sides of egg roll

16. place it on a board/ plate and let cool down for ~5 mins

17. cut into pieces

18. done


taste
-stir fry some korean glass noodle...............making it a korean theme dinner
-happy with the level of spiciness of dipping sauce
-taste of egg roll is natural and light but good pair with strong taste dipping sauce
-dipping sauce share with glass noodle as well



areas of improvement
- egg sheet can be thinner and showing clearer layers
- shorten cooking time of korean glass noodle in hot water
